Reiki - Learn Reiki
Usui Shiki Ryoho
Reiki is available to anyone interested in receiving the gift and using it to promote physical, mental and emotional wellbeing for themselves and for others.
Reiki is passed from Reiki Master/Teacher to student through an attunement process. Level I Reiki attunements consist of four individual attunements over two days. After this, Reiki energy will flow freely whenever the Reiki Level I practitioner places their hands on themselves or on another person. As the energy flows, heat, tingling and various other sensations are felt in the hands and most people are able to feel this after the first attunement.
Once you complete your level I training, it is advisable to practice Reiki on yourself and others for at least six months before enrolling in a Level II course. Level II Reiki training takes your skills as a practitioner to a whole new level. During this training, you will be given a number of Reiki symbols as a part of the attunement process. These symbols greatly enhance the effectiveness of your Reiki practice for yourself and for others.
The final stage of Reiki training is the Master/Teacher training. This training is carried out as private sessions between the trainee and the teacher instead of in a group setting as with Level I and II training. During the eighteen month to two year process the trainee will be taught how to give Reiki attunements and will be required to assist in Reiki I and II training classes. At completion of the Master/Teacher training, the graduate will be able to share the gift of Reiki with others through teaching their own classes.
